{"id":1120,"date":"2020-12-04T15:06:22","date_gmt":"2020-12-04T21:06:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vivaciouschef.com\/?p=1120"},"modified":"2020-12-05T14:30:33","modified_gmt":"2020-12-05T20:30:33","slug":"chocolate-almond-bites","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vivaciouschef.com\/?p=1120","title":{"rendered":"Chocolate Almond Bites"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Love these for a snack, or when I&#8217;m craving chocolate &#8211; a great alternative to junk food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 c raw almonds <br>2 c pitted Medjool dates (best for texture)<br>2 c old fashioned oats <br>4 Tbsp maple syrup<br>\u00bd tsp salt<br>1 c dark chocolate chips<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add the the nuts and dates to a food processor. Pulse until they are coarsely ground. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add the oats, salt and chocolate. Pulse a few times to begin to incorporate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Run the food processor while streaming in the maple syrup until just ground and the mix comes together easily when pressed. Add more syrup if it&#8217;s too dry.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Press firmly into an 8&#215;8 or 9&#215;9 pan in an even layer. Make sure to pack it well so that it stays together.
