This mix is easy to make on the weekend, far cheaper and healthier than the store-bought varieties, and even easier to mix up in the morning. I keep some at work, and just add the hot water from the cooler &#8211; stir, and enjoy!<\/p>\n<p><u>Oatmeal Base<\/u><br \/>\n5 c \/ 1 lb (by wt) old fashioned oatmeal\/rolled oats<br \/>\n2 c \/ 6 oz vanilla protein powder<br \/>\n1 c \/ 4 oz flax meal<br \/>\n1 c \/ 6 oz chia seeds<br \/>\n\u00bc c \/ 2 oz brown sugar (optional)<br \/>\n3-finger pinch salt<\/p>\n<p><u>Cherry Almond Oatmeal<br \/>\n<\/u><i>Add to oatmeal base:<br \/>\n<\/i>1\u00bd c \/ 8 oz dried cherries<br \/>\n1 c \/ 5 oz toasted slivered almonds<br \/>\n2 Tbsp cinnamon<br \/>\n2 Tbsp ginger powder (use less for less spice)<\/p>\n<p><u>Cinnamon Raisin Oatmeal<br \/>\n<\/u><i>Add to oatmeal base:<\/i><br \/>\n2 Tbsp cinnamon<br \/>\n2 Tbsp ginger powder (*spicy)<br \/>\n1 tsp cardamom<br \/>\n1 c toasted walnuts<br \/>\n1 1\/2c raisins<\/p>\n<p><u>Chocolate Peanut Butter<\/u><br \/>\n<i>Add to oatmeal base:<\/i><br \/>\nSubstitute chocolate protein powder for the vanilla<br \/>\n1 Tbsp cocoa powder<br \/>\n1\/4 c PB2 (powder peanut butter in natural food aisle)<\/p>\n<p><u>To Serve:<\/u><br \/>\nAdd 1\/2 cup of hot water to 1\/2 cup of the oatmeal mix, stir until creamy &#8211; enjoy!<\/p>\n<p>*Keep in mind &#8211; all amounts are approximate &#8211; just make it to your taste.
